Add a New Job on the Engineer Web Application

Add a New Job on the Engineer Web Application

You can easily create a New Appointment on the Engineer Web App.
This could fall into one of two categories

1. Create a new appointment for an existing Job (a return visit perhaps).
2. Create a brand new job and a new appointment.

Step A Click on New Job in either one of two ways
  1. Selecting Appointment New in the menu
  2. Clicking On New on the appointment listing

Step B Enter the details of the new appointment
  1. Select if it is a Job, Quote, Call or Other
  2. Select New if a brand new job or Exist if a return appointment for an existing Job
  3. Click on the green magnifying glass in item 4 below to list all Installations in a searchable list ( the list can be searched by postcode, name , address etc.)
Item 5 below triggers the same search action dialog as the magnifying glass
.
If you firstly select a Customer Account Ref then the searchable Installation List will be restricted to only those installations belonging to that customer. This is a useful option when you are operating a large database and should you know the customer details.

STEP C Searching for an Installation

  1. Enter any text in the text entry including postcode, name, address then click on the Search button to restrict Installations to all matching entries
  2. Use the scroll bar to review the restricted listing and click on the green tick  to select that entry

On pressing the green button, the customer account reference, the installation reference and all the address and contact details will be retrieved and populated onto the New Appointment form

STEP D Enter the details of the appointment
  1. Select the job type from the drop down list of 8 different job types
It will most likely be a fault job if the job is phoned in outwith hours

2.  Select the name of the engineer to attend from the drop down list of engineers

3.  Review the listing of Test Result sets that have been selected for this job in the Test Result drop down list

The test result set determines what test appears in the Test Results tab for the engineer when completing the job.
The default set(s) for the discipline will be initially selected.
You can select many test results, 1 test result set or no test result sets ( by unticking/ticking all) and the engineer will see these different test result question sets one after the other

4. Fill in the rest of the details of the job

  1. Click on the Callout button if it is a callout
  2. Select the type of Call Out this is if appropriate
  3. Edit the scheduled Start and End date/times to suit ( they default to the next full hour)
  4. Edit the description to describe the job details ( this defaults to a description matching the job type)
  5. Add any relevant appointment notes that you wish the engineer to see for this job.
  6. Press the save button

STEP E Review and Check your newly added entry

1. After the save is complete, it  will be confirmed by the green bar at the top of the screen
2. The new appointment will now appear on the appointment listing

The picture of the emergency services vehicle with a cross denotes a call out
An exclamation mark denotes a late appointment
